What I believe
No one knows what this is about. It’s all very fascinating and bizarre. Take a second to look at your hands and wiggle your fingers. 5 levers, capped with nails and wrapped in skin, many steerable joints, controlled by thoughts that can also marvel at them. Remarkable, exquisite, absurd. Look around: such things are everywhere, including the experience of observing. Be curious, explore, pay attention, share, and try to make sense of it.
The mystery will never stop baffling us, so flourishing here is our best bet. To flourish: (1) Improve your internal well-being, (2) Improve your external conditions
Life is short. Be bold, listen to your heart, act with spirit and urgency.
Be optimistic, enthusiastic, humorous, grateful, appreciative, loving and kind. For your own sake and for everyone around you,
Reality is the result of a complex and timeless chain of events and powers beyond us. Accept it with love and awe, and focus on what you can do. It’s an improv; play the scene.
Your small world matters a lot more to you than the big world.
Stay healthy and keep fit. You can’t do much when you’re sick.
We can help each other flourish, and that’s what work and careers are about. Do useful and meaningful things, do them well and fast, and with a good team.
Play long-term games with long-term people. Relationships and skills compound over time.
